Raw material:
Pomace from carefully selected, ripe and healthy grapes, which are cultivated in the Valley of the Muses and come form 5 different varieties, Assyrtiko, Sauvignon Blanc, Mouhtaro, Kountoura and Malagouzia.
Ageing process:
Aged in French oak barrels for at least 3 years. The barrels have a capacity of 225 litres and it’s a combination of new with 2nd and 3rd use. This combo has proved adds new oak aroma and protects the elements of the grapes.
Last Battle 1829:
In 1829, in the village where the distillery stands today, the “Battle of Petra” took place. It was the last battle of the Greek Revolution of 1821. As a tribute to the ancestors, LOST LAKE DISTILLERY created the aged Tsipouro “Last Battle”.
